Terms of Service
Last updated: March 21, 2026
1. Acceptance
By installing the runlit GitHub App, accessing app.runlit.dev, or using the runlit CLI or GitHub Action, you agree to these Terms. If you are using runlit on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you have authority to bind that organisation to these Terms.
2. The service
runlit provides automated code evaluation — hallucination detection, intent alignment scoring, security scanning, and compliance checking — via API, GitHub integration, CLI, and IDE extension. Results are informational and do not constitute legal, security, or compliance advice.
Eval results reflect probabilistic signal scoring. runlit does not guarantee that all issues are detected, nor that flagged items are definitively problematic. Human review remains your responsibility.
3. Accounts and access
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your API keys.
- You must not share API keys across organisations or expose them in public repositories.
- Accounts may not be transferred without our written consent.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the service to process code you do not have the right to submit
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, probe, or extract model weights or system prompts
- Abuse rate limits or circumvent usage quotas
- Use the service in any way that violates applicable law
5. Plans and billing
Free plan usage is subject to the rate limits published at docs.runlit.dev. Paid plans are billed monthly or annually via Dodo Payments. Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled before the renewal date. No refunds for partial periods.
6. Intellectual property
runlit Private Limited retains all rights to the service, models, and infrastructure. You retain all rights to your code. You grant runlit a limited, non-exclusive licence to process your code diffs solely to provide the service. We do not claim ownership over your outputs.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, runlit is not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service, including any issues that reach production despite passing eval checks.
8. Termination
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. You may cancel your account at any time from the dashboard settings. Upon termination, your data will be deleted per the retention schedule in our Privacy Policy.
9. Changes
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be communicated via email at least 14 days before taking effect. Continued use constitutes acceptance.
